We urgently need to raise £35,000 to pay for specialist planning and legal advice. This expert support will help us prepare the strongest possible case and ensure our community is properly represented before the independent Planning Inspector. Whatever you can give will help protect Down Ampney’s future.
1,658 new homes would increase the size of Down Ampney by more than 550%. Development on this scale would permanently transform our small, historic rural village. Make your voice heard before it is too late.
Down Ampney is facing development on an unprecedented scale. The Local Plan identifies our village as one of ten strategic development sites and proposes around 1,650 new homes—an increase of more than 550%. This would transform our small, historic rural village forever, putting its character, countryside and local services at risk.
Deadlines are fast approaching, so every donation matters.
STAGE 1
£15,000
by the end of October 2026
Cumulative target: £15,000
This enables us to hire legal and planning professionals to make the best case possible to the inspectors.
STAGE 2
£10,000
by the end of December 2026
Cumulative target: £25,000
There will be a public hearing where we will have professional representation.
STAGE 3
£10,000
by the end of January 2027
Final target: £35,000
There may be a second public hearing. If this happens we will need more professional help
